Clinical Placement, Psychology/Psychiatry Department, Children’s Hospital of Michigan Supervisor: Dr. Robert Rothermel
Responsibilities included conducting outpatient neuropsychological
assessments for children ages 3 - 19, reviewing medical records, and
report writing. Additional opportunities included participation
in Wada procedures and brain stimulation mapping in epilepsy surgery
patients. During the second year of this placement additional
duties were added including participation in feedback sessions and
inpatient neuropsychological assessments.
Spring 2005 - Current
Outpatient Therapy at Wayne State University Psychology Clinic
Work with clients of varying age, sex, and presenting problems using
multiple therapy techniques in an individual/family therapy setting.

Supervisor: Jackie Bultman
The position included work in an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation
setting. Duties included preparing patients for procedures,
organizing and encouraging appropriate play activities, meeting
psychosocial needs of patients, family education about appropriate ways
to interact with children following illness or injury, and supervision
of volunteers in the department.
Summer 2002
Clinical Neuropsychology Undergraduate Placement, Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, Chicago, IL
Supervisor: Dr. David Nyenhuis
The position included observation of neuropsychological assessments and
consultations with adults and attendance at grand rounds and case
presentations. Additionally, participation in ongoing research
projects examining Vascular Dementia yielded a co-authored paper and
first-authored presentation.
Spring Semester 2002
Clinical Neuropsychology Undergraduate Placement, Mary Free Bed Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI
Supervisor: Dr. Jacobus Donders
The position included observation and participation in
neuropsychological assessments of children. Additionally,
observation of neuropsychological consultations was completed.
The placement also involved helping with several brief research
projects examining psychometric properties of tests used in children.
Summer 2001
Pediatric Cognitive Rehabilitation Undergraduate Placement, Children’s-Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital, Fanwood, NJ
Supervisor: Dr. Brad Ross, Sue Stephens
The placement was held in an outpatient cognitive rehabilitation
program for children and adolescents with brain injury due to illness
or injury. Responsibilities included co-facilitation of various
treatment groups, supervision of children between activities, and
participation in ongoing research examining outcome following TBI in
childhood.

Assist in protocol development, data collection, data analysis,
manuscript and grant preparation for several different research
projects including early deprivation, autism, Sturge-Weber,
